Fresh Salmon!

The last few days have been spent in Astoria, Oregon in a Stake Park called Fort Stevens.   If beauty is what you want, this is the place to be!   Biking trails went for miles, in the coolness of the evergreen trees.  The trails also went to the beautiful Oregon coast!  Needless to say, we went to the beach as well.   This beach allowed 4 wheelin on it's shores, so we took the jeep out one evening and watched a sunset while we went 4 wheeling.  Don't forget to check out the Astoria, Oregon Pictures!    Oh, and the fresh fish markets were full of fresh daily catch of king salmon.... we had a salmon, halibut and sturgeon dinner over the fire last night!

As of June 17th, we all all back together again.  I flew out of spending a week in San Diego, back to Salt Lake City, where Jay and the kids were waiting for me.   We had a wonderful time in Utah!  We hiked the beautiful Wasatch Mountains and we drove down to Provo for a day to visit with Mika and Adam.   We headed for the mountains and their car broke down.  We decided to make the best of it and went hiking across a busy freeway, and ended up at the base of a mountain where we decided to hike to get to the fall that we saw from the bottom.  What fun it was!  Check out the Utah pics.

Yesterday and today are our Idaho days.  We are now just outside of Boise.

While in San Diego, I attended my granddaughters first birthday party! It was the best time I have had yet!  Check out the pictures of grandbaby!

Meanwhile, while I was in San Diego, Jay and the kids were visting his family in Grand Island, Nebraksa and Omaha, Nebraska.  The pictures tell me they had a blast!

I can't believe it is June 6th and I have not posted a post!

Well, I will catch up later.  Right now, I am at Anne's  house until I leave for San Diego.

Jay and the kids are in Grand Island, Nebraska.  Yes, they left me here to catch a plane back to San Diego for Kaiya's first birthday!

 

Day One - April 7th
Mood:  happy
Took us three hours to get on the road!  We woke up at 5:30 am, and hit the road at 8:30.  We are on our way!
